It's amazing how something so simple, so beautiful, can make such a difference in someone's life.

These necklaces are handmade in Uganda, Africa by women who are living in conditions most of us in North America could barely imagine living in. We experienced some of these conditions first-hand when first traveling through East Africa in 2007 and decided to do something about it. The necklaces are created for us fair-trade (the artisans set the prices) and the funds raised by selling these necklaces provide so much for these women - from safe healthy living conditions, to education for their children to independence.

But it doesn't end there - with the help of the Rotary club of Muyenga (Kampala, Uganda) who receive some of the proceeds, we have been able to impliment local projects like our first completed clean water project.

To date we have already built 10 water tanks at 3 different schools in Uganda that now provide clean, healthy water to hundreds of students at each school. With your help we can build many more!
